Every so often I share new inspiration, as a way to pass on notes of positivity, new resources and keep track of all that’s inspiring me. Here are my top 10 this week:
I’ve started read Anne Lamott Bird by Bird, on our girls trip to the New Forest. This book is always mentioned by creatives and I’m finally reading it. All I will say for now is that she’s an interesting writer. I can tell she’s persistent and has a sense of humour, some sadness too perhaps. Either way she’s a good writer she’s so interesting that I can’t figure out exactly why and I just keep reading. That if anything makes her a good writer, I keep reading.
I listened to the story behind Best day of my life Lifestyle Clothing on Hal Elrod’s podcast. I find it fascinating that it all started with one conversation where he answered the question on the phone where someone asked him ‘Hey how are you doing?’ with ‘Yeah, best day of my life’. Today could be the best day of your life, it’s hard to have a bad day with that thought or indeed t shirt. That’s the power of conversations.
The quote ‘To make a big leap you have to have firm footing’.
Sitting by the river and seeing runners go around the different routes led me to finally buy some brilliant bright orange trainers to run in, I tested them out today.
Hay fever helpers for the hot weather – DoTERRA Breathe Respiratory blend, early nights and lots of water.
I did a 62 minute version of Kirtan Kriya and it was incredible, my intuition on point and worries whisked away.
I was thinking about how I felt on loss of a loved one and a friend last year, I re read a story in Women who run with the wolves called – A handmaids tale. I love folk tales, though I’m not sure if they fit into my life now or where this inspiration will take me. So far it’s fuelled more writing including this post on grief.
A Nanak Naam video on humility told through the aspect of a goat meeting a lion. Often it’s a lion and a sheep featured like in this clip in a Tony Robbins seminar.
I made a Facebook page (again) and I’m adding content, learning as I go then I will invite people to like it. All other ways have failed before so if u feel called to get more inspiration and blog posts like my page.
Another blog that’s worth checking out is Jen Morris Creative, she writes simply and beautifully and shares what’s inspiring her. That inspires me to find more blogs to read regularly which in turn, I share on here and this is positive ripple effect in motion.
